Inside a cave, Ushio and Tora are transported to the past by a yokai with time manipulation abilities. They observe the initial assault by Hakumen no Mono on the Chinese king and citizens, which resulted in the destruction of the city. This event also led to the deaths of Jie Mei and Giryō's parents.
