Reiko carries a deep desire to die because her father has transformed into an oni. This monstrous version of her parent actively haunts her, creating a dangerous environment where she is constantly under threat. Furthermore, the oni father attacks and harms anyone who attempts to get close to Reiko. This isolation and violence force her into a state of despair, driving her suicidal thoughts as she struggles to survive the relentless persecution from her own family member who has become a supernatural threat to everyone around her.
