Takahiro Mizuno is a student at a knight-training academy where competitors engage in jousting. Originally, he had aimed to become a knight after dominating as the top junior champion in his home country. A tournament injury in the finals, however, caused him to withdraw from that path. In its place, he chooses to train as a begleiter, supporting one of the academy's female knights in her efforts to succeed.
