Apr 3, 2010Akuto Sai meets Junko Hattori on the train to Constant Magic Academy, where they form a life-or-death pact to improve the world. Upon arrival, the school declares him a future demon king, causing widespread fear. During his class introduction, Hiroshi Miwa admires him while others tremble. Akuto inadvertently volunteers for cleaning duty, academy slang for becoming an assassin, which enrages Junko. She challenges him to a duel, but he accidentally destroys the classroom with a magical explosion. His attempt to reconcile at her dorm triggers a murderous frenzy, leading to a chase through the woods. There, Akuto encounters Kena Soga, who attempts to protect him for unspecified reasons. She fails, and Akuto ends the conflict with another accidental explosion. Immediately after, he is greeted by Korone, an observer.
EP 2Akuto meets principal with Korone, fights demon dog, and meets Fujiko in mountains
Apr 10, 2010Akuto meets the academy principal alongside Korone, who serves as his bodyguard and judge regarding his potential to become a demon king. The next day, Fujiko Eto pledges support and instructs Akuto on neutralizing Korone before they meet in the mountains. During transit, a mana-mutated demon dog attacks, but Akuto absorbs its energy to revert it to a puppy. This puppy detects Kena, revealing her invisibility ability. After disabling Korone, Akuto meets Fujiko, who asks him to join the disciplinary committee to clear his name and provides a magical gun to help reconcile with Junko. On the return trip, Kena tackles Akuto, exposing him to the reactivated Korone. Kena secures Akuto’s friendship in exchange for testifying that he did not assault her. Finally, Fujiko lies to Junko about a threat and consults her brother’s severed head in a secret passage.

Akuto then meets Junko, but it is an ambush by underground members. He defeats them quickly, but Junko arrives, misinterprets the scene, and publicly condemns his actions. A large crowd chases Akuto around the school. Kena intervenes before Junko can enforce punitive justice. Junko admits the situation escalated due to her part in the misunderstanding, but the mob turns on her for siding with Akuto. Korone resolves the conflict by showering the angry students with medicated rice.

Apr 24, 2010After Junko and Akuto reconcile, he accidentally knocks Kena unconscious during a mana control lesson. Mitsuko suggests Akuto enter the mental discipline chamber, a location rumored to be fatal. Although Akuto feels depressed, Korone and Kena accompany him, leaving him caught between the two girls. Inside, they discover a mysterious map that Kena suspects is a treasure map, though Fujiko recognizes its true nature. The following day, Kena distributes copies of the map throughout the academy, causing students to injure themselves while searching for the treasure. As a disciplinary committee member, Akuto urges everyone to stop the search. However, a girl named Eiko Teruya appears, forcing Akuto to take responsibility and find the treasure himself.

May 1, 2010Akuto, Korone, Hiroshi, and Eiko explore the school's underground labyrinth to locate a specific map spot. They defeat a cloaked entity attacking with bats and retrieve a plush recording device from a tombstone. This device leads them to an abandoned research facility where they encounter an armored statue. Eiko discovers a screen revealing an underground shrine behind a cave hot spring. Meanwhile, Junko, Kena, and Fujiko travel to the labyrinth. Junko, having fallen into the hot spring, reveals to Akuto that Eiko is a government spy. A wolf attacks them until Ken and Fujiko arrive. Witnessing Ken protect Junko, a tearful Eiko gives Akuto a shrine key and departs. Fujiko uses the key to transport them to the student council headquarters, which is actually the demon king's base. Greedy Fujiko employs the plush device to awaken the dragon beast Peter Hausen. The beast displays memories of Fujiko's brother's death, causing her to collapse. Akuto confronts Peter Hausen and becomes his master against the beast's wishes. The student council president kisses Akuto as a reward for finding the treasure first.
EP 6Akuto faces government restrictions and Korone's seduction at the seaside school.
May 8, 2010Under observation by the government, Akuto is depressed to find out he cannot go to the seaside school on an island. But Korone arranges for him to go by offering to take responsibility for him herself. However, she makes constant attempts to seduce him to let down his guard. Akuto tries to enjoy going to the beach with Junko, but both Kena and Korone interfere when the former two are having fun. Later on, Akuto sees Hiroshi, who tells him about the legend of the demon king on the island, to which Akuto does not believe. The legend says that the revival of the demon king and the dragon will call forth a legendary hero who would defeat them in battle. EP 7The Legendary Hero Emerges!
May 15, 2010After failing to manipulate Akuto, Korone resigns as a surveillance agent. Hiroshi learns he is destined to be a hero, while Yukiko Miwa, his younger sister, confronts Akuto to verify if he is a demon king. Both deny their titles, causing Yukiko to flee in tears. Hiroshi reveals a shrine beneath a lake where a sword rests on a rock. Mr. X awakens a sea cucumber beast from the lake and captures Yukiko. Hiroshi and Kena attempt to rescue her but are defeated and captured. Akuto and Junko save the pair, but Mr. X sends the beast to destroy the island village. As Akuto struggles against Mr. X, Korone returns to intervene. Hiroshi retrieves the sword from the shrine, becoming the hero Brave, and uses a plasma-like attack to destroy the beast. Korone resumes her role as Akuto's bodyguard, admitting her earlier seduction attempts were meant to help him develop intimacy with Junko.

May 22, 2010Akuto wonders if the hairpiece Kena wears is the same one he gave her as an orphan. Meanwhile, Fujiko kills a slug beast to obtain a demon beast egg, hoping to control her own creature. Kena continues skipping class, causing Akuto concern, while he remains unaware of Junko’s romantic feelings for him. Kena steals the egg from Fujiko while she sleeps, and it hatches into a two-headed chicken beast. Akuto attempts to attack the creature, but it evades his strikes. Hiroshi quickly destroys the beast to prevent further city damage. Later, Korone advises a depressed Junko to discuss an omiai with Akuto to her parents.

Junko later reveals the truth to Akuto, causing a misunderstanding that leads clan members to chase him. While fleeing, Akuto encounters Eiko, who claims the gods have marked Kena as a threat and orders her clan to kill her. At the school grounds, Boichiro Yamato, leader of the Cabinet Intelligence Magic Office, saves Kena from assassination. Yamato views Kena as the principle of identity and wishes to control the gods through her. Akuto arrives to intervene but realizes Yamato is stronger than him.

Jun 5, 2010Fujiko unleashes demon beasts that devastate the school grounds while Akuto remains incapacitated by Yamato’s prior injuries. Yamato’s subordinate, 2V, directs Eiko to unite the Hattori and Teruya clans for a major confrontation against the demon king, assigning Junko and Yuko to manage the beasts. Fujiko rescues Akuto and Kena from Yamato, transporting them via a three-headed dog beast to the student council headquarters. Akuto summons Peter Hausen to halt government actions, flying above the city. As Hiroshi engages Akuto in combat, Junko and Yuko search for the device awakening the dragon beast. An aircraft carrier attacks Akuto, and due to 2V’s interference, Akuto is crushed by the vessel.
EP 11Lily defends the school while Yamato kidnaps Kena and Eiko orders Junko to attack her.
Jun 12, 2010Lily defends the school grounds against clan members attempting to destroy surrounding demon beasts. Yamato arrives at headquarters and kidnaps Kena from Fujiko. Eiko uses Junko as a shield, ordering her to eliminate Lily. Despite her efforts, Lily struggles against Eiko. 2V employs puppets to fight the clan and coerce Lily into joining him. Lily unleashes her ultimate attack, but 2V escapes. Just as hope fades, Akuto is revealed to have survived 2V's attack on the aircraft carrier. Junko draws the family sword given by her grandmother, choosing to side with the demon king out of love.
EP 12Akuto Defeats Yamato and Confronts the Gods Who Created the Demon King
Jun 19, 2010Akuto defeats Hiroshi in the sky and brings him to a forest for Yuko. Yamato attempts to contract with the principle of identity at the shrine, but Akuto interrupts, leading to a battle before the gods. Akuto defeats Yamato, rescues Kena, and learns the gods created the demon king to destroy humanity. He refuses this fate, declares his intent to kill the gods, and activates their defense system. Peter Hausen gives Kena a dragon tooth before his predicted death. Akuto and Kena reunite with Junko, Korone, Hiroshi, Fujiko, Lily, and Yuko. The group begins a new semester at the academy, where the battle altered memories. Akuto is once again labeled the future Demon King, and Junko reacts as she did in the first episode, implying he must start over with the same troubles.
