Wata no Kuni Hoshi

An 18-year-old boy named Tokio takes in a two-month-old kitten named Chibi-neko after she is abandoned. Despite his mother’s cat allergy and fear, she allows him to keep the cat, concerned about his isolation following his failure in university entrance exams. Chibi-neko develops strong affection for Tokio. She perceives herself as a small human who speaks in human language, though others only hear her meow. She believes all humans were once kittens like her. A stray cat informs Chibi-neko about a place called Cottonland, described as a paradise where dreams can be fulfilled.
