Wang Ling has enjoyed a peaceful existence since settling a prior conflict, but his past interference with natural laws has led to a sharp decline in global psionic power levels. His spirit sword, Jingke, intervenes to prevent further decline, but overuse causes a spatial rift. This rift allows demons to enter and siphon spiritual energy vital to human civilization.
