Feudal Japan has become a chaotic place after an alien invasion leads to widespread occupation. One such individual is Gintoki Sakata, who avoids traditional employment and instead takes on freelance work for payment. However, in a world now populated by alien creatures, ambitious Yakuza, and enterprising extraterrestrials, these jobs often bring more hardship than reward.
