Ep. 60: Sayuri Joins Judo Club While Yawara Considers Quitting

Yoshinagawa Sayuri joins the judo club after Fujiko treats her to a meal, though her primary goal is weight loss. Matsuda is initially pleased by Yawara's practice match in Canada but becomes confused when Jody contacts him about Yawara's intention to quit, as Jody mistakenly believes Matsuda is her steady boyfriend. The Mitsuba judo club's first practice session fails because no members know how to perform judo. Fujiko visits Hanazono for assistance, who suggests Jigoro as coach. Fujiko reveals Yawara's decision to quit to Jigoro for the first time. Although Jigoro is introduced as coach and Hanazono as assistant, the women are unimpressed. The men are instead distracted by the revealing judo uniform of Mari.
