Fujiko trains intensely, receiving secret guidance from Kojiro, who notes her rapid improvement after only three months. Yawara identifies Kojiro by a discarded persimmon seed wafer. Matsuda informs Yawara that Sayaka will challenge her at Ajisai, suggesting Yawara boost her teammates' confidence by allowing them to throw her. Kojiro cautions Shinnosuke not to underestimate the Mitsuba members.
