Ep. 1: Mahiru discovers her hidden mural and meets former idol Kano Yamanouchi in Shibuya

Mahiru Kouzuki deletes a video of herself sleeping and attends school, where she is praised as an illustrator despite her self-doubt. At night, she walks through Shibuya and speaks with the school council president about her uncertain future. A flashback reveals she painted a jellyfish mural as a child but quit art after friends mocked it. In the present, Mahiru sees posters on her mural and follows a heckler, who is revealed to be Kano Yamanouchi, a former idol. Kano praises the artwork and invites Mahiru to collaborate with her group JELEE, but Mahiru declines. Mahiru later learns Kano left her idol group due to assault allegations yet continues performing. During Halloween, Kano sings before the mural and removes the posters, convincing Mahiru to collaborate while the event is live-streamed.
