Following the format of previous installments, the grandmother recounts the story of Urashima Tarō. Meanwhile, the Yo-kai Daiz causes the entire class to space out simultaneously during a lesson. In a separate incident, the evil pirate captain Yo-kai Cap n' Crash influences Nate, causing him to regret every decision he makes. These events occur concurrently with the storytelling session, highlighting the various disruptive influences of different Yo-kai on the characters' daily lives and choices.
