Following the resolution of the final crisis, tranquility is restored to Sakurashin. Nevertheless, Enjin remains at large and intends to exact vengeance upon the city. Consequently, Akina and Hime are summoned by the senate to address this ongoing threat. They become outraged upon learning of the council's intention to sacrifice the local youkai population in order to thwart Enjin's plans. Simultaneously, Zakuro, identified as the first of Enjin's youkai hunters, arrives in the city. This development sets the stage for the subsequent events depicted in Hoshi no Umi, marking a significant shift in the narrative landscape.
