Reiji calmly explains to the group that the Battle Royale was actually designed to choose Lancers to fight invaders from other dimensions. This revelation causes Yuya to break down in tears, thinking of Michio and others who were carded, as well as Yuzu who went missing. Unable to contain his anger toward Reiji for these events, Yuya decides to challenge him to a duel.
