Ep. 29: Jaden faces Nightshroud to save friends and protect a Spirit Key from the Seven Shadow Riders.

Chancellor Sheppard summons Jaden, Chazz, Bastion, Zane, Alexis, Banner, and Crowler to his office to reveal the existence of the Sacred Beasts sealed beneath Duel Academy. He warns that the Seven Shadow Riders intend to unseal these powerful cards and distributes seven Spirit Keys to the students for protection. These keys only function when won from their guardians through duels. Shortly after, the first Shadow Rider, Nightshroud, appears and challenges Jaden to a duel. The stakes are severe: Jaden must win to save the lives of Syrus and Chumley, or face the consequence of having his soul sealed inside a card if he loses.
