During the ongoing duel, Jaden advises Aster to utilize his Destiny Heroes for righteous purposes rather than revenge. Aster responds by summoning Dogma, a powerful Destiny Hero stronger than Dread Master. Jaden counters by employing his new Neo-Spacian, Flare Scarab, and uses Contact Fusion to combine it with Neos without Polymerization, creating Flare Neos. This fusion monster defeats Dogma, securing Jaden's victory. Convinced that Jaden surpasses fate, especially since Sartorius had predicted Aster's win, Aster decides to enroll in Duel Academy. He appreciates the school's atmosphere and begins to suspect his manager, Sartorius, of concealing information regarding the Society of Light and his desire to remove Jaden.
