Six months after the conclusion of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, Yugi Muto and his classmates are preparing for life after high school. Seto Kaiba initiates an excavation to recover the broken Millennium Puzzle, seeking to revive Atem and finish their unresolved duel. During the dig, a mysterious figure challenges Kaiba to a Duel Monsters match and takes two of the Puzzle's pieces. His true intentions remain unclear. The situation escalates as tensions rise and the consequences become more severe.
