Tension fills Shark’s town as Yuma and Astral suspect a Barian invasion, but the true cause is the return of Shark’s twin sister, Rio, to school. Rio becomes the focus of attention upon her arrival. Yuma and his friends locate her at the Ikebana Club. The club president, Aika, who has been brainwashed by Girag, challenges Yuma to a Duel. As Yuma readies his Duel Disk, Rio steps forward to challenge Aika in his place, taking on the duel herself.
