Chitaro Ariga, the head of the school's Manga Research Club, abducts Rio Kamishiro with the specific intent of acquiring Shark's Number card. This leads to a high-stakes duel where Chitaro gains the upper hand by using his CXyz monster to corner Shark. Despite the disadvantage, Shark manages to turn the tide with assistance from Yuma. He executes a comeback using the monster Shark Drake Veiss, successfully rescuing Rio and securing victory in the match.
