After her roommate Rumi departs, Ichigo is lured into a trap by Group B while collecting walnuts. Mari Tennouji, the High School student council president, intervenes to rescue Ichigo from this intentional deception. Subsequently, Ichigo discovers the Cake Grand Prix, a contest at St. Marie offering winners the chance to study in Paris. Group A chooses to collaborate for the event, but Miya, referred to as the Heiress, arrives to assert her role as their partner. This development creates a direct rivalry between Ichigo and Miya regarding their participation in the competition.
