Dr. Ichigaki attempts a desperate transformation into a monstrous form but is swiftly defeated by an enraged Yusuke. The mechanics of the spirit wave technique allow En, Ryu, and Kai to regain control of their bodies as they return home. Meanwhile, Team Urameshi is compelled to fight alongside Team Mashotsukai, a group of shadow channels, despite their strong reluctance to cooperate with these former adversaries.
