Ep. 44: Yusuke's Final Test

Yusuke faces a test from Genkai, who claims he must kill her to inherit her power. This scenario is actually a trial to determine if he truly cares about her survival. Genkai also fuses a spirit wave orb into his body to test his endurance. Simultaneously, the semifinal rounds commence. Team Urameshi members prepare to compete against Team Uraotogi. In the opening match, Hiei battles Makintaro, an ogreish fighter. Hiei slices off Makintaro's left arm, which the opponent then transforms into an axe. Despite this transformation, Hiei defeats him with ease.
