Ep. 23: Van and Rudolph escape Metelinick's pursuit through mines while Fiona attempts to revive the Shield Liger

After Van fused with Zeke prior to the Shield Liger's destruction, Dr. D and Fiona helped him regain consciousness. Meanwhile, Raven delivered Rudolph to Metelinick and his thugs. Dr. D, Irvine, and Van devised a plan where Van acted as a decoy to retrieve Rudolph, allowing Irvine to launch an assault from above with his 60 mm Long Range Cannon. Van and Rudolph escaped into a mine, evading pursuit briefly before being caught again. Irvine rescued them with smoke bombs, but Van fell into a ditch and knocked over Metelinick while his friends remained in a tight spot. At the campsite, Fiona heard a voice calling her name. In the mines, Van returned Rudolph's ring and used a stun bomb to blind Metelinick's men, escaping into a cart and flying into the River. Irvine defeated two Dark Horns with ease. Finally, Fiona fused with Zeke and entered the Shield Liger's remains, attempting to resurrect it.
