Kazunade Umezuka enrolls at Shizugaoka Gakuen, a school known for its track and field program. After facing difficulties with the team, she joins the brass band club instead. Initially puzzled by the club's rigorous and unusual training methods, she slowly discovers the pleasure of playing music. Meanwhile, Mutsumi Shinozaki, another trumpet player, remains distant from the other members, even though her musical abilities are strong.
