Three new police recruits—Fang, Beagle, and Kroos—are assigned to complete their internship in the slums of Tkaronto, a trading city inhabited by the Infected. They initially struggle with the environment and various challenges but gradually adapt and build relationships with the Infected. As their six-month training period nears completion, an impending catastrophe threatens the city.
