Koichi Sakakibara joins Class 3-3 at Yomiyama North Middle School in spring 1998. From the start, he notices his classmates' fear and unease. He becomes interested in Mei Misaki, a quiet and reserved student, but his attempts to connect with her only increase the class's strangeness. After one student dies in a disturbing manner, the first of several deaths, Koichi begins investigating the dark history of the class. As more students die, he tries to uncover the truth behind the curse that seems to target Class 3-3.
