A boy named Kazuya possesses a unique ability that draws the attention of youkai. At age twelve, his parents were killed by a youkai named Yasashiware. Vowing revenge, Kazuya aims to kill one thousand youkai. He travels across Japan as a wind runner to carry out his quest.
