Boku no Imouto wa Kanji ga Yomeru

In 2202, Japan has transformed into a society centered around moe culture. Gin Imose, an aspiring writer, and his younger sister Kuroha travel to Tokyo to meet the renowned author Gai Odaira. Kuroha shows no interest in Gin’s traditional writing style but surprisingly can read modern Japanese texts written in kanji. This meeting triggers a series of events that may alter the future of literature. The narrative hints at a time when books contained content beyond typical moe tropes involving siblings in awkward situations. It also references a past where kanji literacy was widespread and the Prime Minister was a three-dimensional human.
