Hiromu has loved basketball since childhood, with Ryuji always by his side as a close friend. The two were close to achieving their goal of playing together at the national high school tournament when an accident during practice left Hiromu injured and unable to compete. Seeking a way to still be part of the game, Hiromu asks Ryuji to "be my arm" until he recovers. To his surprise, Ryuji accepts the request.
