A high school student in Tokyo, Rui Sajima, often feels uneasy at school and at home. She finds solace on a pedestrian bridge at night, where she meets Ryouma Unoki, a new student at her school. Talking with him eases her sense of being trapped, as if he understands her feelings. Ryouma expresses a desire to find the "deepest part of the world," a phrase that resonates with Rui. They begin to enjoy each other's company, finding comfort in their shared sense of isolation. However, their connection is disrupted when Ryouma acquires a gun. One day, he suggests they go together to find that "deepest part of the world."
