Sim Yeon-Hu believed that one's circumstances are predetermined. After an accident leaves him injured, he unexpectedly gains attention from others. He had long believed that attention was unimportant, but now finds he cannot avoid relying on it. He realizes that the only way to receive attention is by being seen as pitiable. If this is the only way to be noticed, he will inevitably come across as pitiful.
