Class de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta

Maki Maehara is isolated at school, lacking friends or shared hobbies with others. He expects the new academic year to remain unchanged despite new classmates. Six months later, this seems to be the case until he meets Umi Asanagi at a video store. Asanagi is a popular student often noted as the "second prettiest in class" and enjoys a high social standing. Despite coming from different social circles, Maehara and Asanagi discover they share interests beyond the B-grade movies they both like. Asanagi then invites Maehara to be her friend.
