Shousuke frequently supports his best friend, Tomoki, who often experiences short-lived romantic relationships followed by heartbreak. During a drinking session, Tomoki vents as usual, making jokes before playfully declaring his love to Shousuke, who has always been there for him. In a moment of vulnerability, Shousuke reveals his own feelings, asking Tomoki to choose between him and a past lover. Tomoki is unable to decide and begins to cry. Shousuke, overwhelmed by the moment, impulsively kisses him. This marks the point where a man prone to falling in love quickly and a more reserved individual with a negative view of love find themselves growing closer.
