During the Sengoku era of uncertainty, a baby boy was left alone in a temple. Named Kei, he appeared like any other child but was clearly an outsider. He grew at an unusual pace, as though existing outside the normal rhythm of human life. Without a reason to leave the temple, he simply waited there, uncertain, for his undeveloped body to eventually wither.
