DO YOU BELIEVE IN MEMORIES?
A boy swimming in the ocean one night witnesses a mermaid, graceful and eerie, moving through the water beneath the moonlight. The encounter leaves a deep impression on him, an image he cannot forget. As he grows older, others dismiss the memory as a childhood fantasy, a product of his imagination. He resists their explanations, unwilling to let go of the certainty that what he saw was real. To him, accepting that the experience was not real feels like surrendering to the loss of belief that comes with adulthood.
