Wakaba recalls fond memories of shared home-cooked meals with her mother, despite the mother's occasional harshness. After being left alone by her parent, she is placed under the care of Hinata Kazutomo, a distant relative. At first resistant to the situation, Wakaba slowly starts to appreciate her time with Kazutomo, who is committed to helping her recover and move forward.
