In a world facing threats from aliens and monsters, the Kitajishi sisters, Miyuki and Yuri, work within the human defense forces, providing hero consultation and assisting with emergency evacuations. Yuri, once a highly popular and powerful magic girl, now supports others in a more grounded role. Their first assignment involves helping a hero who has lost his abilities and is struggling to adjust to life without them.
