Albert de Morcerf encounters the enigmatic Count of Monte Cristo, who impresses him with an undeniable presence. Despite Albert's trusting disposition, the Count's intentions remain unclear. The Count appears to possess intimate knowledge of the wealthy, as though he is on the verge of exposing their hidden truths.
