A man who created an angel hires Kashii Kiyoharu, his grandson, to befriend the being, named Toki. Kashii discovers that Toki is isolated and dangerous, as he consumes human flesh. Another story follows Tokiwo, who avoids attending university, and after an earthquake, a figure resembling his childhood friend Jiu emerges from the ground, now armed and battle-ready. A third narrative, loosely inspired by a 1935 novel, centers on Chris, a human experiment attempting to flee an oppressive organization with his clone bodyguard, Abel, in pursuit of a normal life.
