A group of four university students discovers a ruined mountain village containing a massive perpetual motion machine still in operation. As they attempt to uncover its origins and purpose, they begin vanishing one by one. In another narrative, a girl who has carried an unseen burden since birth encounters the peculiar Hikizuri siblings and lives with them to learn more about her condition. After a series of unusual events, the siblings’ uncle arrives.
