During her third year of junior high school, Hayako experiences the loss of her grandmother in the summer. Despite her longing and remorse for what she wishes she could have done differently, her grandmother remains gone. As she transitions into high school and experiences her first love, questions linger about whether she can look forward to a future free of regret.
