Grandoll

A science fiction narrative centers on an Earth invasion orchestrated by aliens who send dolls capable of transforming into humans. Tetsuo Utsuki, a junior high student with little confidence or strength, discovers a girl's lifeless body on the street, only for it to vanish and be replaced by a strange doll. He takes the doll home, fixes it, and it transforms into the girl, revealing herself as a "Grand doll." She explains that Grand dolls appear as ordinary dolls but shift into human or horse form when the neck is rubbed, reverting when scratched. The aliens are distributing these dolls as part of their invasion strategy. Tetsuo, after learning he might be a Grand doll himself, resolves to oppose the aliens with the aid of his father, a journalist, and his friend Yoko.
