Hagane no Renkinjutsushi

A once-prosperous mining town, now reduced to a desolate wasteland, clings to hope through the arrival of two state alchemists. Their presence is complicated by imposters who have assumed their identities. The genuine alchemists must navigate this deception to recover a powerful artifact and aid the town's survival. A separate short story involving a mysterious warehouse is also included. The story was adapted into an anime in 2003, with specific episodes covering the main and bonus narratives.
