Individuals known as "Minimum Holders" possess the ability to perform specific "small miracles." A government-funded academy trains these individuals to maximize their abilities for national purposes. One promising student, Nice, left the academy and formed a private investigation team with an assistant named Hajime, taking on cases that frequently involve Minimum Holders. Murasaki, a top academy student, is assigned to retrieve Nice. He resists the notion that Nice surpasses him in potential but becomes entangled in Nice's investigative work.
