Masako, grieving the recent loss of her mother, is out collecting items for her hobby when she discovers an unconscious figure resembling a merboy. As she nears, the figure weakly addresses her as "Mother." Moved, she decides to care for it and brings it home. The narrative follows her efforts to nurture and understand this mysterious being, marking a journey of personal growth and emotional healing.
