Hyouge Mono
へうげもの
During the Sengoku-era, marked by shifting power among warlords, Sasuke Furuta, a warrior under Nobunaga Oda, became consumed by ambitions of power, wealth, and the art of tea. Influenced by Nobunaga's strategic brilliance and the tea mastery of Senno Soueki, he pursued a path known as Hyouge Mono. His journey reflects a struggle between existence and the pursuit of artistic and material mastery. The work received the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Grand Prize and an Excellence Prize at the 2009 Japan Media Arts Festival.
