Mariela was an ordinary alchemist in the Kingdom of Endalsia, where such individuals were common. Her situation changed when a monster attack forced her to use a survival technique that placed her in a prolonged state of suspended animation—200 years in total. Upon awakening, she discovers that alchemists are now rare, and she is the only one left in the kingdom.
