A daycare teacher named Yui initially dislikes Asagi, the young father of one of her students, Rei. Asagi is known for his constant, cheerful smile, but Yui discovers he is genuinely kind and responsible. Her feelings shift when she tends to him after he collapses with a high fever, and he says in his delirium, “stay with me, Yui.” Yui is later surprised to learn that Rei’s mother also shares the name Yui. The story explores the relationship between Yui and Asagi. In a separate plot, a former student named Koizumi, who once confessed to his teacher Ueda, reappears years later as a new teacher. The interactions between these two men are explored.
