A boy named Hye-Seong and a mermaid named Yun-Hae become close friends on a remote island. After Hye-Seong leaves, they are separated. Six years later, Yun-Hae regains contact with Hye-Seong after gaining an unknown ability. However, Hye-Seong is now occupied with adult responsibilities and no longer has the time for their past bond. He claims they are incompatible, causing Yun-Hae to grow increasingly fixated on him.
