Jiu Ming Ren

As a child, Guy Ninemann claimed to possess nine lives, and as an adult, this proves true. One day, a homeless man points out nine tally marks on a wall, which remain in Guy's thoughts before he is kidnapped, witnesses his city's destruction, and is killed. His death transports him to a new life, body, time, and place, yet he retains all his previous memories. Each rebirth comes with a specific task, all connected to the city's explosion. The narrative, based on a 1980s Taiwanese sci-fi graphic novel, explores time in a complex and fast-moving way. The story combines suspense, investigation, and science fiction elements, presented through detailed artwork.
