A mobile application called LoveAlarm notifies users when someone nearby has romantic feelings for them. This technology disrupts normal life, particularly for a hopeful high school student named Kim Jojo, when it alerts her to the attention of a popular boy, Hwang Sunoh. Initially seen as a tool to connect people, the app starts to reveal intense and troubling emotions. Jojo soon questions whether life was better before the widespread use of LoveAlarm.
